YouTube recently updated their navigation menus it seems, and many of the articles and videos about how to create a second YouTube channel are outdated and incorrect.
I wasted like 25 minutes of my time trying to figure out how to do this, so now I’m sharing the stupidly simple 2-second answer with you so you don’t face the same frustration.
How to create another YouTube channel
If you already have a YouTube channel under your email address but want to add another, don’t waste your time trying to navigate the menus.
Just make sure you’re logged in, then go directly to one of the URLs below. It will take you straight to the YouTube Channel Switcher associate with your account and allow you to create a new channel.
https://www.youtube.com/account
https://www.youtube.com/channel_switcher
Once you arrive on that page, it will show the current channel you’re logged in as (in this case it’s my FlyBoy X flight sim video channel).
Then below your icon you’ll see the blue links, one of which is “Create a new channel”.
Just click that “Create a new channel” link and you’re good to go. It will let you create a second YouTube channel in less than 10 seconds.
Wrapping up
I know this might seem like a pretty trivial thing to write a blog post, but the frustration of trying and failing at this for nearly a half hour compelled me to write this. I hope this helps you save a few minutes of your life so you can spend more time being creative and doing what you were born to do.
If we all take a few minutes here and there to help each other out, we truly can make the world a better place.
